1. Introduction

Optix AI ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Optix AI platform (the "Service"), a trade journalling and analytics tool for options traders. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our Service.

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (or OAuth provider token) when you register.
• Trade data — trade entries, journal notes, positions, and any other content you voluntarily submit to the Service.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interaction logs collected automatically via server logs and analytics.
• Device & technical data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and referrer URL.
• Cookies & session tokens — used solely for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
• Authenticate your identity and manage your account;
• Calculate and display analytics, P&L, Greeks, and payoff diagrams based on your trade data;
• Deliver AI-generated insights via an AI inference provider (which may include Anthropic, Microsoft Azure, OpenAI, or Google) — your trade data may be sent to the active provider solely for generating responses to your queries;
• Send transactional emails (password resets, account notices);
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your trade data to train AI models beyond what is necessary to deliver the in-app AI analyst feature.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share data only with the following categories of service providers, each bound by their own privacy commitments:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting;
• AI inference providers — AI inference for the Trade Analyst feature (your queries and relevant trade context); the active provider may be Anthropic, Microsoft Azure, OpenAI, or Google;
• Infrastructure providers — hosting, CDN, and monitoring services.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Optix AI, our users, or the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and trade data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
• Object to or restrict certain processing;
• Receive a portable copy of your data.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice in the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
